History

American National College was incorporated as a proprietary school in July 1986. The school held its first class on September 2, 1986 and has grown from 1 campus to 3 campuses in the United States today. American National College comprised originally of 3 seperate schools which were Iverson Institute, Royal Beauty Careers, and Circle J. Beauty school.  In 2013 the ownership decided to bring them under one name, American National College.  The schools are still owned and operated by the same corporation but bringing it under one umbrella gives it more branding power and a peace of mind to the students knowing that a larger corporation owns it.

In its 25+ years of history, American National College has undergone many changes to keep with the dynamics of education.  AMNC originally started as an Information technology education provider and added new programs in 2003 as medical and cosmetolgoy were coming into demand.  As of 2014 American National College now offers many different programs of study ranging from Associate Degrees (Business Administration, Healthcare, Computer Science), English as a second Language (ESL, TOEFL preparation), Cosmetology (Hair, Nail, and Esthetics), Business (Paralegal, Business Office Specialist, Administrative Assistant, Computer Network Technician), and Medical (Surgical Technician, Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Records Coder).

In 2013 American National College received approval from the Student Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) to issue I-20s for M-1 and F-1 student visas. Our dedication to our students coupled with our highly trained staff, makes us one of the top schools for Associate Degrees, beauty, (cosmetology school, hair school, Nail Technician School, and Esthetician School), English as a second language (ESL), Medical School (Medical Assistant, Surgical Technologist) in the south.  As a team, our educators have decades of expertise in the field.
