The Spartan Health Sciences University School of Veterinary Medicine is one of the newest and most affordable Off-shore Veterinary Medicine programs in the Caribbean region. Spartan Health Sciences University which was established in 1980, is one of the most experienced medical educational institutions in the region. The University has been training medical doctors over the past 35 years with graduates practicing in over 40 States in the United States and in over 25 countries worldwide including Canada, the United Kingdom, and St. Lucia among other countries.

The University’s campus is located on the beautiful Caribbean Island of St. Lucia in the West Indies. St. Lucia is a tranquil vacation destination which has won for the 4th time this year, the Caribbean best honeymoon destination award in 2014. It is an excellent environment for studying.

With its 35 years of success stories in the medical program, Spartan in recent years has open doors for more opportunities for students with the establishment of a School of Arts and Sciences (a premedical program), and a School of Nursing. The establishment of the School of Veterinary Medicine and a preveterinary programs is another step toward the Institution’s goal to offer careers in all health sectors.

Spartan School of Veterinary Medicine program offers students a quality and an affordable veterinary medicine training with an international experience. The curriculum of the veterinary program follows the guidelines and standards of the United States veterinary medicine programs. Students will receive an integrated basic sciences education, including lectures from experienced and dedicated faculty, with early clinical exposure through practical case-studies, laboratory sessions and hands on practical clinical exposure at our affiliated local veterinary clinics. This allows the students to have a more comprehensive approach towards learning.
